Streamyx Cool UNI Pack - Get a netbook with free broadband at only RM38/month for Malaysian university/college students.

The Streamyx Cool UNI Pack was launched by the Prime Minister of Malaysia early this year.

Initially, this TM’s special package for university students offers a netbook and free Streamyx service for just RM50/month. The pricing was later changed to a more affordable price of RM38/month!


To be eligible to subscribe for the Streamyx Cool UNI Pack, students must meet the following criteria :
- The students must be from households with a monthly income of RM3000 RM5000 or less
- Students must be enrolled as 1st or 2nd year students at any public or private higher educational institution in Malaysia (DIPLOMA/DEGREE only)
- Students must be endorsed by the Student Affairs Unit of the respective university or college

At RM38/month, eligible students who subscribe to the Streamyx Cool UNI Package gets :
- One Hewlett Packard (HP) Netbook (Intel Atom Processor N450, 10.1" Display, 250GB HDD, 1GB memory) plus free delivery anywhere nationwide
- Free Streamyx broadband Internet access at 384Kbps
- 50% discount on the 1st month subscription fee
- One free wireless modem with a 12-month warranty period
- Waiver of activation fee (RM75) and Installation fee (RM88)
- One free Streamyx Zone account
- 50 songs download per month for 12 months from Hypptunes

- The minimum subscription period of 2 years upon successful activation of Streamyx is applicable for this package. For any premature termination, an administrative fee of RM600 will be chargeable

    Nope. The students must be from households with a monthly income of RM5000 or less. I think our family monthly income exceeds RM5000.
