The first add-on to Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2, will be released April 22, exclusively for the Xbox 360 and PC.
Dubbed “The Passing”, the DLC will cost 560 MS Points for the Xbox 360 and free to download on the PC.
“The Passing” takes place just after the game’s Dead Center campaign in a small rural town in Georgia. Here, players will assume the roles of the sequel’s survivors as they meet the surviving cast members of Left 4 Dead 1.
The DLC also features “Mutations”, a series of different game modes available each week that are playable on all Left 4 Dead 2 campaigns. These week-long runs of new gameplay modes range from ‘Realism Versus’ to ‘Chainsaw Massacre,’ a game type that allows all players to wield chainsaws with an unlimited supply of gasoline. More than 20 Mutations are planned and are exclusively available to owners of “The Passing” DLC.
To top it off, the content pack also offers a new co-operative challenge mode of play, support for infected bot play in Versus, a new “uncommon common” zombie class dubbed “the fallen survivor,” a golf club melee weapon, and M-60 firearm.
