To show my support for the Earth Hour 2010, I have dedicated this post to our Mother Nature, hoping to raise awareness that climate change demands urgent action.
I believe most of people know what is Earth Hour. Maybe some of you still didn't even know what is Earth Hour.
Here's some info regarding Earth Hour :
Earth Hour is a global WWF climate change initiative. Individuals, businesses, governments and communities are invited to turn out their lights for one hour during Earth Hour to show their support for action on climate change. The event began in Sydney in 2007, when 2 million people switched off their lights. In 2008, more than 50 million people around the globe participated. In 2009, hundreds of millions of people in more than 4,000 cities and towns across 88 countries switched off their lights for one hour. WWF’s mission is to stop the degradation of the earth’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature, by conserving the world’s biological diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable, and promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.
In Techdy Bear, I'm fully support this campaign. Earth Hour isn't any ordinary campaign by WWF. They are hoping that people all around the globe aware of what's happening to our lovely Earth. We must take actions now or face the consequences soon. Enough for what we did to the Earth. We should not pollute, destroy, or harm our Earth. Think of our future generation.
So, please turn out your lights for one hour on Saturday March 27, 2010 at 8:30 PM
Show Earth, We Care!
p/s : to show Techdy Bear's support for Earth Hour, I'll not only turn out my lights for an hour, but will not post for one whole day tomorrow.
